Taykab Band is a musical collective led by Clemente Castillo (musician, producer, and composer) that involves musicians and visual artists from different places: Texas, Nuevo León, Mexico City, Vancouver, and New Mexico. It fuses groove-oriented rhythms and melodies with vibrant energy projected in a dynamic and colorful graphic line.

To develop Taykab's identity, we worked step by step with the mastermind behind the band, understanding first-hand the essence of their project. The first phase consisted of putting together a mood board that concentrated the concept we wanted for Taykab expressed in images, typographic references, and colors, also taking as inspiration the photographic material that Alfonso de la Cruz previously made for the band. Later, we created a logo, various typographic applications, and an emblem, elements that fit in print or digital format.

The final phase, as important as the first, was to develop a botanical illustration based on typographic structures, resulting in colorful floral and experimental characters that complemented the logo without stealing its limelight. The letters T, Y, K, B overflow and regroup to intertwine in different positions, generating everything from an alternative logo, to various digital applications, to a printed poster.
